Candace Cameron Bure has made a seemingly quick exit from The View. “Yesterday I made an announcement I was leaving The View, and today is officially my last day,” she said on Friday’s episode. “I will miss all of you, and they told me I am welcome back all the time. So, I won’t be a stranger.”
When asked by co-host Joy Behar if she enjoyed her time on the daytime talk show, Bure shared, “I really have learned so much and I will take it with me forever. This show is legendary and to think that I have been a part of it is really incredible.”
The 40-year-old Fuller House star added, “I am really thankful and blessed to have been a part of it.”
Earlier in the program, Bure admitted that she forgot to tell her mother, Barbara, that she was leaving.
“My mom called me after the first segment because she got a Google alert about it and asked if it was fake news,” she recalled.
On Thursday, the actress said that her reason for exiting the ABC show was to pursue her acting career.
“It wasn’t an easy decision, but before I started The View, I already had my commitments to Fuller Houseand my work with the Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies,” she explained. “Because of the success of those shows, my commitments have become even greater with those shows, and the commute going West Coast to East Coast has been tough on me and my family. I want to make sure I spend as much time with my children and invest in all the projects that I do to the fullest extent.”
In October, Raven-Symone also left The View to work on a That’s So Raven spinoff.
