
Durham, NC-August 20, 2019- The Durham Community is constantly served with a tremendous amount of gun violence on a daily basis. Local music artists, business owners, religious leaders, government officials, community leaders and Durham residents will gather Sunday, August 25th at 7:00 pm to celebrate an evening of Community Honors.

The 4th Annual Bull City Awards is an event created to start the healing process for the city of Durham. The event will be honoring those who are making a daily impact in the community and those affected directly by gun violence. The Founder and CEO Dezrick Dixon, who grew up McDougald Terrace of Durham, agrees it’s time for a change and action towards a peaceful city. The Bull City Music Awards will take place at Durham Armory-Downtown Durham, Sunday, August 25th at 7:00 pm. The event is hosted by Torey Green and Marc Lee to include music by artists Mr. Chenier, Ameer Spain, Stone, Lemoi Desina, Boss, and so many more.
