    Sacred Bones to Release New Album Goodbye Horses: The Many Lives of Q Lazzarus

    Sacred Bones Records has introduced a brand new assortment of music by the late cult artist Q Lazzarus. Goodbye Horses: The Many Lives of Q Lazzarus (Music From the Motion Picture) is a 21-song compilation that includes a trove of unreleased tracks, all recorded between 1985 and 1995. The songs had been retrieved from Q Lazzarus’ archive of digital tapes and cassettes, and can now be launched as a 10-track vinyl album, with extra cuts on the digital and CD editions. Take a look at the tracklist beneath, together with a new-wave model of Q Lazzarus’ largest hit, “Goodbye Horses.”

    Q Lazzarus died, in 2022, following a brief sickness; she was 61. The singer had been working with filmmaker and buddy Aridjis Fuentes on a documentary, additionally titled Goodbye Horses: The Many Lives of Q Lazzarus, and the brand new assortment of music is being launched at the side of that undertaking.

    “Goodbye Horses” appeared in two Jonathan Demme movies: 1988’s Married to the Mob, and, extra famously, 1991’s The Silence of the Lamb’s, the place it scored a memorable scene that includes the movie’s principal villain, Buffalo Invoice. Q Lazzarus met Demme by probability when she was driving a cab within the Eighties. She met Aridjis similarly, when she was serving as her New York driver in 2019.
