The discharge date marks the 197th delivery anniversary of Jyotirao Phule, Savitribai’s husband and fellow reformer.
The movie captures the extraordinary journey of Jyotirao and Savitribai Phule, a pair who defied societal norms throughout an period dominated by youngster marriages and gender-based oppression. At a time when ladies have been denied training and married off at a younger age, Jyotirao selected to coach his spouse.
