Gene Allen — a rapper and actor who appeared in a number of well-known flicks within the Nineteen Nineties together with “Home Social gathering” and “What’s Love Received to Do with It?” — has died … TMZ has discovered.

Allen — a pioneer in hip hop — rose to prominence as a member of the trio “Groove B. Chill” together with Daryl Mitchell and Eric B. The group appeared within the 1990 film “Home Social gathering” and it is sequel alongside Christopher Reid, Robin Harris and a younger Martin Lawrence.
In 1993, he had a short cameo as a membership announcer within the Tina Turner biopic “What’s Love Received to Do with It?”
