The Hard Quartet have shared two new songs. Launched as a cut up single, “Lies (Something You Can Do)” and “Coreopsis Trail” are the indie-rock supergroup’s first new tracks since releasing its debut album final autumn. Skilled skateboarder Kevin “Spanky” Long directed the accompanying music video for “Lies,” which options some spectacular Etch A Sketch drawing. Watch it beneath.
With a lineup consisting of the Cairo Gang’s Emmett Kelly, Pavement’s Stephen Malkmus, Chavez’s Matt Sweeney, Dirty Three’s Jim White, the Arduous Quartet will embark on their inaugural North American tour later this month. After the North American leg ends in Could, the band will play European and UK exhibits in June.
