The British DJ and producer Leon Vynehall will launch a brand new album, In Daytona Yellow, on September 19, through his personal label, Ooze Inc. Main the follow-up to 2021’s Rare, Forever is a collaboration with the London-based artist Poison Anna titled “Mirror’s Edge.” Take heed to the brand new tune beneath.

“You utilize a glass mirror to see your face; you employ artwork to see your soul,” Vynehall mentioned of his new single in an announcement. “I made a quip about Roberta Flack’s ‘The First Time I Ever Noticed Your Face’ and the way it will be an attention-grabbing idea to put in writing a tune like that, but it surely’s about your self. Once I put it towards the story of the album, I needed to broaden it and discover the duality between ego intercourse and ego loss of life. Self-loating and self-love. A narcissism, or, extra appropriately, an unfamiliar self-importance. One thing that feels prefer it’s too good to be true—fleeting.”

Discussing the brand new album, Vynehall added, “It’s concerning the rejection of perfection and embracing vulnerability. I needed to let go of that strain—to say goodbye to a former model of myself and transfer ahead.”
