    Ted Kotcheff — well-known for guiding iconic motion pictures the likes of “First Blood” and “Weekend at Bernie’s” — has died, TMZ confirmed.

    Thomas Kotcheff, Ted’s son, tells TMZ … the filmmaker died peacefully Friday evening at Hospital Joya in Nuevo Nayarit, Mexico surrounded by household.

    A reason for demise was not disclosed.

    Kotcheff’s monumental resume of each movies and TV tasks spans a long time … however he’s arguably greatest recognized for “First Blood,” the 1982 Sly Stallone basic that launched audiences to John Rambo.

    In fact … Kotcheff knew a factor or two about nice comedy … which was evident when he directed the ’80s screwball basic, “Weekend at Bernie’s,” starring Andrew McCarthy and Jonathan Silverman.
