The Who have reversed course and re-hired longtime drummer Zak Starkey, days after firing him following a spherical of concert events at London’s Royal Albert Corridor.

Pete Townshend introduced the information in a message posted to Instagram on Saturday. “Information flash! Who again Zak! Zak is just not being requested to step down from The Who. There have been some communication points, private and personal on all sides that wanted to be handled, and these have been aired fortunately,” the message reads. “Extra posts coming.”

Earlier this week, The Who dismissed Starkey, son of Ringo Starr and their drummer of almost three many years, over obvious “points with the drumming” that occurred throughout the band’s concert events at Royal Albert Corridor. Starkey subsequently confirmed the information in an announcement to Rolling Stone, saying he was “stunned and saddened” by the band’s choice.
