Oasis paid tribute to late Stone Roses and Primal Scream bassist Gary “Mani” Mounfield during their concert in São Paulo, Brasil, on Saturday night. “We wanna dedicate this to our dear friend, our hero, the one and only Gary ‘Mani’ Mounfield,” Liam Gallagher announced prior to the band’s performance of “Live Forever.” As the song drew to a close, an image of Mani appeared on the video screen, and the entire band turned to face it. “You’re gonna live forever,” Liam declared. “And he can have this one as well,” he added, as the band then launched into a performance of “Rock ‘N’ Roll Star.”

Liam Gallagher also paid tribute to Mani in the immediate aftermath of his passing on Thursday, writing on social media, “IN TOTAL SHOCK AND ABSOLUTELY DEVASTATED ON HEARING THE NEWS ABOUT MANI MY HERO RIP RKID LG.”
