Alex G made his return to The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, December 1st, where he performed “June Guitar” from his latest album, Headlights.
The singer/guitarist was acompanied by his backing band of Tom Kelly, Sam Acchione, Molly Germer, and John Heywood.
Headlights is Alex G’s follow-up to his critically acclaimed 2022 album, God Save the Animals. It arrived on July 18th after he spent three hectic years touring, opening for Foo Fighters, signing to RCA Records, appearing on Halsey’s latest album The Great Impersonator, and crafting the scores for the popular films I Saw the TV Glow and We’re All Going to the World’s Fair.
A week after Headlights came out, Alex G performed the song “Afterlife,” which appears on the LP, on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. He previously performed the track “Runner” on Fallon in 2022.
