Ranveer Singh’s debut film, Band Baaja Baaraat, is set for a theatrical re-release this month. Cinema exhibition company, PVR Inox has announced that the 2010 film, starring Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma, will be back in theatres on January 16. This announcement comes after the huge box office success of Ranveer’s recent film, Dhurandhar.
The official Instagram account for PVR Cinemas also shared news of the beloved film’s re-release. Their caption read, “Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, and a rom-com that never gets old. Band Baaja Baaraat is back on the big screen – catch the fun all over again! #BandBaajaBaaraat re-releasing at PVR INOX on Jan 16!”
The film is based on two ambitious young Delhi graduates, Shruti (Anushka Sharma) and Bittoo (Ranveer Singh), who start a wedding planning business called Shadi Mubarak. As they navigate their friendship and trust amidst the vibrant chaos of Indian weddings, they develop romantic feelings for each other.
Band Baaja Baaraat marked Maneesh Sharma’s directorial debut. The film achieved box office success during its release in 2010, propelling Ranveer to overnight stardom.

Meanwhile, Ranveer’s Dhurandhar continues to perform strongly at the box office, even after three weeks of its release. The action spy thriller has collected over ₹720 crore domestically to date, establishing itself as the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025.
