The Culling Game, which will officially begin in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3, is a large-scale death match between multiple sorcerers created by the evil, cursed user Kenjaku to promote humanity’s evolution and assimilation with Tengen.
However, despite the daunting nature of the Culling Game, it became the perfect stage to introduce many new sorcerers and give other, older characters from the series a chance to shine. While each sorcerer’s unique techniques, characteristics, and potential make them difficult to scale, here are the strongest fighters in Jujutsu Kaisen‘s Culling Game.

Panda
Panda, a second-year student at Jujutsu High School, is a mutant cursed corpse created by Masamichi Yaga. While a typical cursed corpse has only one core, Panda has three and possesses emotions like a normal human. His cores are what give Panda his power, as all three must be destroyed to stop his activity, and he can switch between them at will.
Despite lacking cursed techniques, Panda’s gorilla core makes him exceptionally skilled in close combat. This makes him the perfect counter to a sorcerer that targets cursed techniques like Hana. However, since her technique disrupts cursed energy, it could be effective against Panda, whose core relies on it to function.

Hana Kurusu
Hana Kurusu became a participant in the Culling Game as the incarnation of Angel, a sorcerer from the Heian Era. What makes Angel powerful is its ability to annihilate all cursed techniques, including cursed objects and barriers. While this makes Hana an incredibly valuable and necessary ally in freeing Gojo Satoru from the Prison Realm, she isn’t particularly skilled offensively.
This means her role works better as a support character in battle than as a main fighter. Even so, Hana possesses great mobility in battle thanks to her wings, and her attack, Jacob’s Ladder, is considered one of the most powerful in Jujutsu Kaisen‘s story.

Reggie Star
Reggie Star is one of the strongest players in the Tokyo Colony of Jujutsu Kaisen‘s Culling Game. In addition to his high physical abilities, he possesses a rare cursed technique that lets him materialize the contents of receipts. Reggie uses his intellect to create unexpected tactics in battle, from healing himself to summoning objects.
Reggie can also use the Anti-Domain technique, hollow wicker basket that allows him to counter its sure-hit effect. His potential suggests that Reggie wouldn’t have lost the battle if he hadn’t underestimated Fushiguro, who took advantage of his incomplete domain.
11
Megumi Fushiguro
Megumi Fushiguro holds the Zenin family’s Ten Shadow Technique, which allows him to summon ten types of shikigami for combat. Fushiguro demonstrated his strength by single-handedly fighting the cursed spirit beneath the Yasohachi Bridge that ate Sukuna’s finger, and he was able to deploy the Domain Expansion Chimera Shadow Garden, although imperfectly.
Fushiguro also created a breach in Dagon’s domain during the Shibuya Incident and defeated Reggie Star in the Culling Game arc. While Fushiguro’s wildcard lies in being able to summon Mahoraga, this serves only as a last resort, as he lacks the strength to defeat him, meaning his imminent death at the end of the ritual.
10
Takako Uro
Takako Uro is one of the incarnated sorcerers in the Culling Game. Her cursed technique is based on spatial manipulation. She can move freely through the sky and distort space as if it were a piece of cloth, capturing it like a surface.
Because Takako can capture as a surface the space where her opponent is standing, she can strike it directly to inflict damage, meaning her attack ignores the enemy’s defense. Takako can also change the trajectory of any attack, but she is a particularly difficult enemy to defeat thanks to her ability to use the Reverse cursed technique and Domain Expansion.
9
Ryu Ishigori
Ryu Ishigori is one of the incarnated players of the Culling Game who truly enjoys the thrill of fighting a formidable opponent. Ishigori has a domain expansion and one of the greatest outputs of cursed energy, releasing it in a sort of cannon boasting a highly destructive power.
It’s stated that Ishigori has the same attack output even without using his cursed technique. While he seemed to be in a stalemate with other players of the Sendai Colony and engaged in a three-lock fight with Okkotsu and Takako, he proved to be more calculating and level-headed than her, which allowed him to incapacitate her with a surprise attack.
8
Yuji Itadori
Jujutsu Kaisen‘s protagonist and the vessel of Ryomen Sukuna, Yuji Itadori, has always had excellent athletic ability, but his potential for sorcery is on another level. After gaining cursed energy, Yuji engages in hand-to-hand combat, which is enhanced by his almost superhuman strength.
Yuji fought Mahito alongside Todo during the Shibuya Incident arc and later kept training by combating some of the curses plaguing Tokyo, demonstrating his strength against Yuta Okkotsu. While Yuji still has room for improvement in the Culling Game arc, he is able to unleash several consecutive black flashes and even hold up against Higuruma without his cursed energy.
7
Hiromi Higuruma
Hiromi Higuruma was originally a lawyer and is one of the new sorcerers who have just awakened their cursed techniques. Higuruma is arguably one of the most naturally talented sorcerers, as he was able to master his cursed technique in the blink of an eye and deduced how to use his domain expansion.
His domain, death sentencing, lets him impose sanctions on his opponents based on the outcome of a trial, which goes from revoking their cursed techniques to even killing them. A powerful technique that would leave almost any sorcerer defenseless. However, Higuruma’s domain only gives him an advantage over criminals, and he lacks combat experience.
6
Fumihiko Takaba
Takaba theoretically possesses the most powerful cursed technique in Jujutsu Kaisen but initially doesn’t know how to use it. His cursed technique, “Comedian,” turns anything he imagines as funny into reality, and although he’s unaware of it, he unconsciously adopts it to withstand attacks in the Culling Game.
In Jujutsu Kaisen‘s manga, it’s revealed that Takaba’s technique is effective against Gojo, meaning he could even defeat him if he found it amusing. However, Takaba lacks the necessary skills to unleash a Domain Expansion during the Culling Game arc. Still, his latent power makes him a force to be reckoned with in the series.
5
Hakari Kinji
Hakari Kinji becomes invincible when he’s on a winning streak in his domain. Modeled after pachinko, in Hakari’s domain, each time he hits the jackpot, his cursed energy flows incessantly, activating the reverse cursed technique. This makes him virtually immortal for a short period.
Hakari’s insane luck allowed him to fight on equal footing with Kashimo in the Culling Game, even though the latter refrained from using his cursed technique. While Hakari’s power can be inconsistent, it’s true that when he’s in the groove, he’s one of the strongest in Jujutsu Kaisen, as Yuta Okkotsu acknowledged to Yuji.
