Yungblud Responds to Backlash for Photo with Rammstein Singer: “I Had No Idea”

Yungblud has responded to backlash he’s received for posing with Rammstein frontman Till Lindemann in a new photo, saying he “had no idea” about the sexual misconduct allegations brought against the industrial singer a couple years ago.

The UK singer and the German rocker recently embarked on separate tours of Australia, and met up while in Perth. A photo of the two musicians posing by the ocean can still be seen on Lindemann’s Instagram page (see below), with the caption, “Absolute pleasure meeting @yungblud in Perth. Have fun in Mumbai!”

Lindemann faced accusations of sexual misconduct in 2023 when a woman alleged she was drugged at a pre-party at a Rammstein concert and was propositioned by the singer for sex. The investigation was subsequently dropped, with the band saying the accusations were “baseless and grossly exaggerated” in a statement the following year.

In responding to the negative comments for meeting up with Lindemann, Yungblud released an audio statement via his Instagram, saying, “I had no idea — obviously at the minute I’m meeting lots of people every day without fully knowing who they are or what they’re about. And I can assure you, if I knew about any allegations, it would have been a completely different story. You all know what I stand for, always. I’ll be more aware of it in the future.”

Yungblud will kick off a North American tour in May. While the shows sold out immediately, tickets are available via StubHub, where your purchase is 120% guaranteed through StubHub’s Fan Protect program.
