It’s official, Crunchyroll just landed one of the biggest anime movies of last year. The anime industry is growing at an unprecedented speed, and that expansion is bringing more top-tier films to theaters than ever before. In the wake of Demon Slayer’s global box-office boom, all eyes are on anime to see which new release will bring serious bank. In 2025, the industry found its next hit with help from Tatsuki Fujimoto, and now the creator’s work on Chainsaw Man is coming to Crunchyroll.
After a long wait, Crunchyroll has finally confirmed Chainsaw Man — The Movie: Reze Arc will make its way to streaming soon. On April 30, the hit anime film will make its launch online subbed and dubbed. The major release is set to kick off Crunchyroll’s biggest Ani-May celebration to date, and fans won’t want to miss Chainsaw Man‘s streaming launch once it goes live.
After all, Chainsaw Man‘s Reze Arc went above and beyond all expectations when it launched in 2025. Directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, the epic action anime not only redefined how Chainsaw Man looks, but it took Denji to the absolute limit of his powers. Featuring stellar animation from MAPPA, Chainsaw Man — The Movie: Reze Arc is the most impressive anime movie of 2025, so if you missed out on the project when it released, you can read up on the explosive feature below:
“Denji worked as a Devil Hunter for the yakuza, trying to pay off the debt he inherited from his parents, until the yakuza betrayed him and had him killed. As he was losing consciousness, Denji’s beloved chainsaw-powered devil-dog, Pochita, made a deal with Denji and saved his life. This fused the two together, creating the unstoppable Chainsaw Man. Now, in a brutal war between devils, hunters, and secret enemies, a mysterious girl named Reze has stepped into his world, and Denji faces his deadliest battle yet, fueled by love in a world where survival knows no rules.”
Chainsaw Man’s Streaming Release Is a Big Problem for Demon Slayer
With Chainsaw Man eyeing its Crunchyroll takeover, the anime is living the high life right now. However, this Ani-May reveal has sparked major debate amongst the fandom, but Denji is not the hero in hot water. Rather, Tanjiro from Demon Slayer is facing the wrath of fans. After all, Demon Sayer: Infinity Castle has yet to hit streaming following its historic release, and Chainsaw Man‘s movie premiered after Tanjiro took over theaters.
Released in July 2025, Demon Slayer‘s Infinity Castle arc thrilled audiences globally with ufotable’s gorgeous animation. It has been nearly a full year since the movie was released, and yet, there is no update on its streaming release. This delay is unprecedented in our modern age (even for anime) as streaming has shortened the home release timeline for movies. And now that Chainsaw Man has found its own streaming release date, fans are growing impatient when it comes to Demon Slayer.
