Viral posts on X and other platforms claim that Vijay has been insisting on 50 to 60 assistants and multiple personal caravans, allegedly making life difficult for the film’s producers. They further claim that the producers, frustrated with his conduct, have lodged a formal complaint against him with the Producers Council. Vijay Deverakonda’s team has categorically denied these allegations, calling them completely false.
Vijay’s team alleges ‘sophisticated propaganda’
According to the actor’s team, the misinformation campaign has been deliberately designed to resemble genuine news reports. They alleged that the logos and branding of several well-known media outlets were forged to make the fabricated posts appear credible.
Vijay’s team wasted no time in responding. It described the campaign as the handiwork of a few “jealous” individuals and fan factions attempting to manufacture outrage. The team added that the Kingdom actor has always championed the interests of filmmakers rather than worked against them. It has also urged cybercrime authorities to take strict legal action against those responsible for creating and circulating the fake content.
Vijay Deverakonda’s eventful year
Away from the controversy, Vijay Deverakonda has had a busy year. Earlier this year, he married actress Rashmika Mandanna in a private ceremony in Udaipur. On the professional front, he has Ranabaali and Rowdy Janardhana in the pipeline and has also announced a new project with Hi Nanna director Shouryuv. The film will feature an international technical crew, including Hollywood VFX director Eric Durst. With three ambitious projects lined up, Vijay continues to expand his range with diverse and large-scale films.
