Pokémon Officially Returns To Unova For New 30th Anniversary Release

After decades of introducing countless players into a world of adventure, the Pokémon franchise has been kicking off its 30 year anniversary with plenty of new releases and events for fans of the iconic series to enjoy. With a series that’s been going on for as long as Pokémon, however, it can be hard to satisfy everyone when it comes to what regions to revisit. Out of all of them, Unova is easily one of the most requested.

While we’re still waiting for an official announcement on when we’ll get to revisit Unova for ourselves in an official new remake of Pokémon Black & White, similar to Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl, a recent release on the official Pokémon store is paying homage to the fan-favorite location for all fans to enjoy.

As noted by GoNintendo, as a part of the 30th anniversary celebration, Pokémon is officially launching a new merchandise line titled ‘Pokémon Timeless Adventure.’ This news was released alongside official illustrations featuring the starters Snivy, Ocelot, and Tepig, alongside its mascot Pikachu, on an adventure to Skyarrow Bridge in the Unova region.

The merchandise itself includes a tin of cookies, acrylic keychains, acrylic art blocks, stickers, and clear A4 files, all decorated with the official Unova art. However, the biggest drop of all comes in the form of three carry-on-sized suitcases themed after the different elemental starter types from across the series.

The ‘Pokémon Timeless Adventure’ merchandise is available now on the official Japanese Pokémon Center Online store and will be available in person at official Pokémon Stores in Japan on July 4th.

Although the engraved suitcases themselves aren’t specific to Pokémon Black & White‘s Unova region, unlike the rest of the merch drop, they feature a large clear plastic compartment at the top that’s made to store plushes of your favorite traveling companions. This can easily hold 3 normal-sized Pokémon plushes with plenty of room to spare for additional smaller plushes, decorations or normal storage items.

While this is far from the first time Pokémon has brought back some fan-favorite regions or even released suitcases for players to enjoy in their daily lives, the merchandise drop does come with the major caveat that the theme sadly isn’t available to global players around the world, which is a little disappointing considering the traveling theme.

Despite the limited availability, if you’re able to get your hands on one through the online store, you’ll be met with a suitcase that offers more than just a cute exterior and plush storage. The designs also feature interiors patterned with themed Pokémon starters, alongside Poké Ball-shaped zippers and wheels to round off the look.
