Alia Bhatt and Sharvari’s Alpha released in theatres today, July 3. The latest addition to the YRF Spy Universe also stars Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles, with Hrithik Roshan making a special cameo. Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha marks the franchise’s first female-led spy thriller.
As early reviews and social media reactions pour in, Alpha has received positive responses so far. While several viewers have praised the film’s action sequences, performances and stylish presentation, others felt the storyline could have been better.

One cinephile wrote on X (formerly Twitter), “#alpha First Half One-Word Review: Average. The story is a flop, but the action scenes are good. The music is a complete disappointment. Alia fails to impress, while Bobby Deol and Anil Kapoor deliver solid performances. Sharvari’s acting is just okay.

    Alpha first half Review :
Its a surface level plot driven predictable movie where Alia Bhatt looks misfit for some reason.
Despite that the movie feels entertaining at some momements.

Praising Alia Bhatt’s entry scene in the film, another user wrote, “For the first time in the YRF Spy Universe, a woman is leading the movie. Alpha delivers one of the best entries in the entire franchise: banging BGM, crisp & action-packed. In one word: Sexy. I’m absolutely obsessed with her poise in that suit. Alia “Mommy Alpha” Bhatt!”
