August 3 marks Friendship Day, and what better way to honour the occasion than by celebrating some of Bollywood’s most cherished friendships? In an industry often known for rivalries and competition, these bonds have stood strong, defying stereotypes, public scrutiny, and time itself. From girl squads to childhood companions, these relationships remind us of the beauty of true friendship.

One of the most iconic Bollywood girl gangs includes Kareena Kapoor Khan, Karisma Kapoor, Amrita Arora, and Malaika Arora. Together, they’ve formed a sisterhood that has lasted through decades, filled with shared holidays, life milestones, and unwavering support. Another younger and equally famous trio is made up of Suhana Khan, Ananya Panday, and Shanaya Kapoor, daughters of Shah Rukh Khan, Chunky Panday, and Sanjay Kapoor who’ve grown up together and remained inseparable even as they stepped into the limelight.

Then there are friendships like Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, who started their film careers together and have maintained a close bond ever since. Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor, popularly known as the Gunday duo are known for their vibrant personalities and strong friendship. Behind the scenes, Ranbir Kapoor and director Ayan Mukerji share a creative brotherhood, while Gauri Khan and Sussanne Khan continue to showcase what unconditional support between friends looks like. This Friendship Day, we celebrate these beautiful connections, proof that in Bollywood, real friendships aren’t just reel stories.
