It is hard to believe that back in December 2020, a large group of players had to refund Cyberpunk 2077 after encountering game-breaking bugs and glitches at launch. Leading to the PlayStation Store and other online outlets having to delist the CD Projekt RED title from its shopfronts, the game had to undergo a series of patches before it finally became playable for users.

Now, fast-forward six years, and Cyberpunk 2077 has cemented itself as one of the greatest RPGs of all time thanks to the tireless work and dedication of CD Projekt RED. Thanks to multiple patches, updates, and helped by its award-winning DLC, Phantom Liberty, Cyberpunk 2077 is currently flourishing, inspiring plenty of other developers, studios, and creators to want to work alongside the futuristic RPG.

Collaborating with the likes of Epic Games and Kuro Games for Fortnite and Wuthering Waves, Cyberpunk 2077 has also received everything from coffee to official merchandise, graphic novels to arcade machines, and everything in between. Inspired by Mike Pondsmith’s Cyberpunk TTRPG universe, CDPR truly brought Night City to life in Cyberpunk 2077, and it is clear to see that the rest of the gaming sphere want to cash in on its popularity.

That is why yet another Cyberpunk 2077-inspired release has been unveiled: Cyberpunk: The Trading Card Game. Set to launch on 1 October, and “bringing high-stakes two-player battles, neon-soaked artwork and plenty for collectors to chase”, this upcoming release will become a must-have for any Cyberpunk fan.

Now available for pre-order courtesy of GAME, Cyberpunk: The Trading Card Game currently offers four unique purchases: Cyberpunk TCG Set 01 The Heist Starter Deck, Cyberpunk TCG Set 01 Booster Pack, Cyberpunk TCG Set 01 Welcome to Night CIty Embrace Power Starter Deck, as well as the Cyberpunk TCG Welcome to Night City Display which comes with 24 packs inside.

With each booster pack costing just £4.99 and Starter Decks coming in at £29.99, your most expensive purchase will be the Cyberpunk TCG Welcome to Night City Display, retailing at £119.99. However, you need only look at the stunning, often holographic art, that comes with these cards to recognize the amount of detail that has gone into them. I am not usually a fan of TCGs, but even I am tempted by this one.

Developed in collaboration with CD Projekt Red and brought to life by WEIRDCO, the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game exploded onto Kickstarter as the most funded TCG ever, raising over £20 million from nearly 50,000 backers, and hitting its funding goal in just 5 minutes. That level of demand tells you everything – this isn’t just another TCG launch, it’s a major moment for the hobby.

Not only that, but the Cyberpunk: The Trading Card Game will give collectors the chance to earn the following rarities:

    • Common
    • Uncommon
    • Rare
    • Epic Rare
    • Secret Rare
    • Iconic Rare
    • Nova Rare
    • The real chase?
    • Iconic Rares – premium alt-art cards showcasing fan-favorite characters in incredible detail.

So, if you are a fan of TCGs or just want to immerse yourself more in the world of Cyberpunk 2077, look no further than the launch of Cyberpunk: The Trading Card Game when it goes live this October.
