Ravie Dubey is one of the big names associated with the ambitious project of Ramayana. But with all the hype surrounding the film, its stellar casting and huge collaborations with international names and teams, the viewers are not entirely confident about certain things.
One major concern lingering on everyone’s mind is whether Ranbir Kapoor was the right pick for Ramayana. There was never a shroud of doubt regarding his ability to do justice to the avatar he picks up. Even the grandson of Ramanand Sagar, Shiv Sagar, expressed a similar feeling, mentioning, “He is a very good actor. Personally, I don’t have anything against him. But I personally believe that for such characters, it’s better to take a new face.”
In a recent interview with Variety, Ravie Dubey, who plays Lakshman, came forward with support for his fellow co-star, Ranbir Kapoor, in Ramayana. When asked about him, Ravie said, “I think Ranbir is simply the best we have. He is a superstar of epic proportions, but what has stayed with me even more is the human being and the artiste I have witnessed at close range.”
He further goes on to elaborate on Ranbir Kapoor’s worth ethics and the dedication he pours into any role he plays, and how it proved to be a learning experience for him. He continued, “The sincerity with which he comes onto a set is unparalleled. His work ethic, etiquette, intensity, and preparation. I had heard so much about these things, but I had the privilege of witnessing them firsthand.”
He finished his quote weighing on how his nature has remained untouched by his industrial background or success. He added, “Alongside all of that is his incredibly grounded, warm, and inclusive nature. There is no weight of his stardom in the way he interacts with people. I find that enormously inspiring. It is my great good fortune to be a part of this journey alongside Ranbir, Namit (Malhotra), Nitesh (Tiwari), Yash, Sai Pallavi, and every single person associated with Ramayana.”
