Drishyam 3 (Hindi) has opened to an exceptional response at the Indian box office. The staggering numbers speak for themselves. According to box office tracker Sacnilk, Ajay Devgn’s thriller collected over Rs 66 crore nett on its first day in India. That figure places it ahead of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and makes it the third-highest opening day for a Hindi film (whether straight or dubbed). Dhurandhar 2 (whose figure goes up if premieres are also considered) and Pushpa 2 (dubbed) are at No. 1 and No. 2. These are figures for the Indian Box office.

The worldwide gross of Drishyam 3: The Conclusion is estimated to have crossed Rs 95 crore on Day 1, as per some estimates. Ticketing data adds weight to the numbers. More than one million tickets were reportedly sold on BookMyShow alone within the first twenty-four hours.
As per a trade analyst, the suspense thriller achieved the biggest opening day of Ajay Devgn’s career by a wide margin. It surpassed his previous best, Singham Again, by a huge margin (Rs 43.70 crore was at Indian BO on Day 1). Additionally, it became the highest-grossing film ever released on the Gandhi Jayanti holiday, overtaking Hrithik Roshan’s War’s previous record of Rs 51.60 crore.
