On Wednesday, Troye Sivan took to X to tease what he called “the gayest music video of my career.” He emphasized, in a reply to the original post, that this video would not just be gay—it would be “GAY gay.” Now, alongside the release of his album She’s the Best, Sivan has shared a video for the new song “FF.” He spends most of the clip, directed by Gordon von Steiner, feeling up a hunky guy in and around a chicly appointed beach house. Good for him! There’s also some product placement for Mistr. Our house view: as far as “gayest,” the keg scene in “Rush” still takes it. Decide for yourself below.
“‘FF’ is an undying love song to a man I don’t know yet. Or at least I don’t think I do,” Sivan said in press materials. “It’s me at my most longing, and about how lonely it is to love someone who isn’t here yet. It might sound like a vow, but it’s really a wish.”
Sivan’s follow-up to 2023’s Something to Give Each Other, She’s the Best was led by two singles: its title track, and “Party.” Both also received high-gloss visual treatments, the former starring Nicole Kidman and the latter narrated by Sir Ian McKellen, aka Gandalf.
