Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan recently appeared together on an episode of Koffee With Karan 9, hosted by Karan Johar. The couple’s candid conversations, playful exchanges and interesting revelations from their personal lives caught viewers’ attention. However, one particular moment from Saif’s rapid-fire round has become a talking point, with many discussing the actors he chose as the Gen Z talents to watch out for.
During the rapid-fire segment, Saif was asked to name Gen Z actors he believes have a promising future. Without taking much time to think, the actor picked Ahaan Panday and Ananya Panday. He even added, “The Pandays”, while explaining his choices. While his response appeared to be a straightforward answer, it soon caught people’s attention for another reason.
What particularly stood out was that Saif did not mention his own children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan, who are also part of the younger generation of actors in the Hindi film industry. Both Sara and Ibrahim have been associated with several projects, making their absence from Saif’s choices an interesting detail from the conversation.
Kareena, who was asked the same question, had a slightly different take. She picked Ahaan Panday as her male choice and named Aneet Padda as the female Gen Z actor to look out for. The actress also appreciated their performances in Saiyaara, which brought both young actors considerable attention.
Interestingly, both Saif and Kareena had Ahaan Panday on their lists, indicating that the young actor has caught their attention. However, Saif’s decision to name Ananya and Ahaan instead of Sara and Ibrahim has become one of the most discussed moments from the episode.
