Ramayana made its highly anticipated global theatrical release on November 5, 2026, just a few days before Diwali. The rave has been surrounding the epic all week long, centring on the grand scale on which the movie has been produced under the visionary production of Namit Malhotra and direction by Nitesh Tiwari.

The stars of the movie who brought to life some of the most famous characters from that era are Ranbir Kapoor who plays Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi who plays Sita, Ravie Dubey who plays Laxman and Yash who plays Ravana, among many others.

Taking a closer look at the numbers, on day 1, Thursday, November 5, 2026, Ramayana made over Rs. 77.5 crores in gross collection from India, with another Rs. 51.25 crores coming in from the overseas market. Day 2, however, looked slow, with the Indian gross collection dropping to Rs. 57.3 crores and the overseas collection being Rs. 44 crores.

And then came Day 6, the first day of its first weekend. On November 7, 2026, the movie shot ahead by a good long shot, collecting Rs. 83.45 crores in gross revenue from just the Indian market, marking over 45% of a jump from the previous day.
Around Rs. 63.60 crores was from the Hindi language itself, with Rs. 7.55 crores from the Kannada language, Rs. 7 crores from Telugu, Rs. 2.95 crores from Tamil, and finally Rs. 2.35 crores from Malayalam. Adding to that, they brought in over Rs. 60 crores from the overseas market in gross collection.
At present, the total worldwide gross collection stands at a staggering Rs. 375 crores, which is a mammoth revenue if you don’t think too deeply about its production budget sitting at over Rs. 2000 crores.

With the numbers for Day 4, Sunday, November 8, 2026, yet to come, we wonder just how the reception would be.
