Rajasekhar undergoes three-hours surgery
According to sources from the unit, Rajashekar suffered a right ankle bimalleolar dislocation with a compound fracture. This is considered a severe injury associated with high-impact trauma. After the incident happened, the actor was immediately taken for medical evaluation. Doctors recommended an urgent surgical intervention to prevent further complications. Rajasekhar subsequently underwent a major surgery lasting nearly three hours.
A statement from Rajasekhar’s team read, “The surgical procedure involved right ankle open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) with K-wires for the lateral malleolus. Open reduction and internal fixation using cannulated cancellous screws and a semi-tubular plate for the medial malleolus. Trans-fixation of the tibia using a wire passed through the calcaneum and talus.” Despite the complexity of the procedure and the intense pain Rajashekar endured it all. The surgery was successful, and the actor is currently recuperating.

Doctors advised four weeks rest
Doctors have advised Rajashekar four weeks of rest emphasizing that the operated leg must remain immobile during the crucial healing phase. The actor will be back in action in the last week of January and resumes shooting for the film depending on his recovery progress. Apart from shooting for his upcoming film Biker, Rajashekar is also working on two yet-to-be-titled films. Fans and industry colleagues have been sending wishes for his speedy recovery. The actor had earlier suffered a similar left-leg injury while shooting for the 1989 action thriller, Magadu.
In a career spanning more than four decades, Rajashekar is known for performing daredevil stunts and high-octane action sequences. He was known as the “Angry Young Man” of Tollywood for his intense and rebellious roles.
