Anushka Sharma marked daughter Vamika’s fifth birthday with a deeply emotional reflection on motherhood. She looked back at how becoming a mother has reshaped her life, admitting that this phase has changed her in ways she would never want to undo.
On the occasion, Anushka reshared a post on her Instagram Story that spoke about the quiet, demanding and transformative nature of motherhood. Along with it, she added a note that captured her feelings in the simplest yet most powerful way. She wrote, “And I wouldn’t go back to any version of me that didn’t know you, my child. Jan 11, 2021 .” The words reflected both gratitude and acceptance of the person motherhood has made her.
Vamika was born on January 11, 2021. In February 2024, Anushka and her husband, Virat Kohli welcomed their second child, a son named Akaay. The couple has consistently chosen to keep their children away from the spotlight, following a strict no photo policy and prioritising a calm, private family life over public visibility.
On the work front, Anushka has been away from films for some time now. Her last full-length release was Zero in 2018. While there is still no official update on the release of Chakda Xpress, the actor continues to focus on family, often sharing glimpses of a phase of life that clearly brings her immense fulfilment.
