At a recent interview, Hyun Bin weighed in on whether he would want to work with now-wife Son Ye Jin on a promising project. Hyun Bin shared that he would want to work with Ye Jin in a bolder and intense concept.
“A story about a married couple whose relationship suddenly falls apart could be interesting,” he noted. So, what kind of projects would Hyun Bin want to work on? Without missing a beat, the actor quipped that he would be open to exploring something like Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
Meanwhile, Ye Jin has already shared her enthusiasm over wanting to work with Hyun Bin again. During a recent award show, she revealed that she would be willing to work with Hyun Bin. The two also received the Popularity Award together.
At the interview, Hyun Bin also opened up about the timeline of his romance with Ye Jin. When asked if they were dating while filming Crash Landing On You, Hyun Bin mentioned, “No, it [our dating] started after filming ended.” Moreover, he revealed that they could not work face-to-face while filming The Negotiation as well. “We filmed mostly in separate spaces. We only saw each other briefly during meals or monitoring,” he said.
But was there a defining moment in their love story? Hyun Bin shared, “There wasn’t one defining moment… It just happened over time, like water slowly soaking into clothes.” Fans were rooting for the couple ever since they witnessed their chemistry in Crash Landing On You.
