Beth Gibbons, the Portishead vocalist and trip-hop pioneer, carried out her Bristol band’s hit “Glory Field” at Coachella 2025 Saturday evening. Watch the clip beneath.
Gibbons carried out 10 songs on the Gobi Tent, most of them being from her debut solo album Lives Outgrown. Earlier than closing her set with “Reaching Out,” Gibbons sang “Glory Field” in a wash of sapphire and turquoise lights, not not like the album cowl of the band’s genre-defining file Dummy.
Lives Outgrown was launched in Might 2024 through Domino. It was nominated for the Mercury Prize, alongside Charli XCX, Nia Archives, Corinne Bailey Rae, and that 12 months’s winners in English Instructor.
