    Beyoncé Nabs First Album of the Year Victory for Cowboy Carter at 2025 Grammys

    Beyoncé has received the 2025 Grammy Award for Album of the Yr for Cowboy Carter. It’s her first victory within the class, regardless of having been beforehand nominated 4 instances—for 2008’s I Am… Sasha Fierce, 2013’s Beyoncé, 2016’s Lemonade, and 2022’s Renaissance. With a number of wins tonight, Beyoncé extends her lead because the winningest artist in Grammys historical past.

This was her and Swift’s second time going up towards one another within the class; their first, on the 2010 Grammy Awards, noticed Swift’s Fearless beat out I Am… Sasha Fierce.

    Since releasing Cowboy Carter final April, Beyoncé launched her personal whisky line, introduced Kamala Harris at a Houston rally for her presidential marketing campaign, and performed the halftime present for the NFL’s Christmas Day recreation. Notably, Cowboy Carter was absent from the nominations on the 2024 Nation Music Awards, although it’s unclear whether or not Beyoncé elected to submit the document for consideration within the first place.
