Billie Eilish has won Song of the Year for “Wildflower” at the 2026 Grammys. They beat out fellow nominees Bad Bunny (“DTMF”), Doechii (“Anxiety”), Huntr/x (“Golden”), Kendrick Lamar & SZA (“Luther”), Lady Gaga (“Abracadabra”), Rosé & Bruno Mars (“Apt.”), and Sabrina Carpenter (“Manchild”).

Eilish accepted the Grammy Award with her brother Finneas, who produced and co-wrote “Wildflower,” joining her onstage. “Thank you so much. I can’t believe this. Everyone else in this category, you’re so amazing, I love you so much, and I feel so honored every time I get to be in this room,” she said during her speech. “I don’t feel like I need to say anything but that no one is illegal on stolen land. Yeah, it’s really hard to know what to say and what to do right now. I feel really hopeful in this room, and I feel like we need to keep fighting and speaking up and protesting. Our voices really do matter, and the people matter, and fuck ICE. Thank you so much; I can’t believe this.”

“Wildflower” appears on Eilish’s third studio album, Hit Me Hard and Soft. Although the album came out in May 2024, Eilish re-released “Wildflower” as a single in February 2025—making it eligible for tonight’s award. This is the tenth Grammy Award win of her career.

Last year’s Song of the Year winner was Kendrick Lamar with his juggernaut hit “Not Like Us,” making it his fifth and final victory for the diss track at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Everyone in the running for 2026’s Song of the Year had previously won a Grammy except for two artists: Huntr/x, the breakout stars behind Kpop Demon Hunters, and Blackpink member Rosé.

Before tonight, all of these Song of the Year nominees had racked up an impressive number of Grammy wins already. Bruno Mars had won 16 times over the years, Lady Gaga had taken home 14 trophies, Eilish had nine, SZA had five, Bad Bunny already had three (and added plenty more tonight), Carpenter had two Grammys, and Doechii secured her first win last year.
