    U2 frontman Bono is among the many honorees who will obtain the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Joe Biden throughout a ceremony on the White Home on Saturday.

    The nation’s highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom is introduced to people “who’ve made particularly meritorious contributions to the safety or nationwide pursuits of america, to world peace, or to cultural or different vital public or non-public endeavors.”

    Bono is being acknowledged as each “the frontman for legendary rock band U2 and a pioneering activist towards AIDS and poverty. He introduced collectively politicians from opposing events to create america PEPFAR AIDS program, and is co-founder of campaigning organizations ONE and (RED),” in accordance a press release launched by the White Home.

    Saturday’s different honorees embody Invoice Nye the Science Man, actors Denzel Washington and Michael J.     U2 are reportedly engaged on a brand new album with Brian Eno, which The Edge just lately described as “some crazy sci-fi Irish folk music.”
