    Useless at 28 Following Mind Bleed

    Japanese boxer Shigetoshi Kotari has tragically handed away following a severe harm he sustained in a title battle simply 1 week in the past.

    The World Boxing Group (WBO) introduced on X Kotari died on Friday after his August 2 match in Tokyo towards Yamato Hata … and remembered him as a “warrior within the ring” and a “fighter in spirit.”

    The super-featherweight underwent emergency mind surgical procedure to deal with a subdural hematoma following the battle, per a translated press release shared by the Japan Boxing Fee.     Kotari was vying for the OPBF Tremendous Featherweight title on August 2 and was thrilled to be competing towards Hata … and even posted a snap of the pair posing side-by-side a day earlier than the match.

    President of the World Boxing Council (WBC) Mauricio Sulaiman honored Kotari as nicely, saying he’s “deeply sorry for this loss” and inspired these to “analysis to seek out methods to make boxing safer and implement prevention programmes.”

    He was 28.
