BTS fans are eagerly waiting for the group’s new release, scheduled for 2026. All seven members of the South Korean boy band, RM, Jin, Jimin, J-Hope, Jungkook, Taehyung and Suga have completed their mandatory military service this year and are now working on their new album and world tour. ARMYs have been waiting for years for this. Amid this, band’s leader Kim Namjoon aka RM has made a shocking revelation.
The rapper recently interacted with the fans virtually through the fan community platform, Weverse. He said, “We’ve thought for tens of thousands of times whether it would be good for us to disband or to suspend activities. What has kept this team going is how much we love each other, and the love and respect we have for those watching this livestream.”

However, much to the relief of fans, RM confirmed that their comeback plans are on track and all the band members are working towards that. Sharing an update, he continued, “Preparations for the album are almost being made. We practiced together yesterday. We are filming content and practicing every day. We will show you after we prepare well.”
BTS’ last major album release was in 2022, followed by their Yet to Come concert.
During an earlier interaction with fans, RM shared that BTS’ 2026 album will have varied genres that they have not tried before as a group. Recently, a Bloomberg report stated that BTS is set to launch its biggest world tour to date with 65 shows. The report further stated that half of the shows from the 65 will be held in North America. However, their agency clarified the situation. They added that neither the number of shows nor the size of the tour has been finalised. “Details regarding the dates and scale of BTS’ new world tour remain unconfirmed. The dates you mentioned are not the latest number we are discussing,” the agency added.
Nonetheless, BTS’ comeback is one of the biggest events K-pop fans are looking forward to, and it is surely going to be a grand, larger-than-life moment.
