    Musicians all over the world are commemorating Ozzy Osbourne following the Black Sabbath legend’s death yesterday on the age of 76. After a sequence of written tributes—from the likes of Elton John, Tom Morello, Metallica, and Jack White—artists taking part in concert events final evening celebrated Osbourne’s life and work with covers, speeches, and singalongs. Amongst them have been Coldplay and Dave Matthews Band, who each lined Black Sabbath’s “Adjustments,” and former Black Midi frontperson Geordie Greep, who led his band in an instrumental covers medley in Black Sabbath’s Birmingham hometown.     After jamming via “Symptom of the Universe, “Battle Pigs,” “N.I.B.,” “Paranoid,” “Candy Leaf,” and “Loopy Prepare” at Birmingham’s XOYO venue, Greep stated Black Sabbath “made this music that actually modified the whole lot, and so they got here from this city.” He added, “You get a guitar, you go to a rehearsal room while you’re 12 or one thing, and also you play these songs, and you’re feeling such as you’re gonna have superpowers. It’s like magic. And it was these fucking guys simply coming from this city—which isn’t precisely Beverly Hills. It’s wonderful.… Relaxation in peace.”

    Elsewhere, Woman Gaga closed out a Mayhem Ball present in San Francisco by ripping open her jacket to reveal an Ozzy Osbourne T-shirt, earlier than taking part in his solo tune “Loopy Prepare” via the PA. Cyndi Lauper led her Raleigh, North Carolina, crowd in a singalong to the identical observe by taking part in it from her cellphone into the mic.
