2026 is shaping up to be another bumper year for Cyberpunk 2077 fans. The sci-fi RPG has gone from strength to strength over the last few years, with a slew of surprise updates helping to make the game more popular than ever before. Clearly, CD Projekt RED intends to ride that wave of popularity with yet another new release coming this year.
Late last year, CD Projekt RED listed 29 new open positions for work on Cyberpunk 2, confirming work on the sequel is underway. While The Witcher 4 is obviously the current focus, that doesn’t mean we don’t have a few Cyberpunk-shaped treats to look forward to.
Cyberpunk 2077 Is Back… Just Not How We Expected
It’s an odd one, but I’ll take it
While there are a few Cyberpunk 2077 surprises planned this year, this is one I definitely didn’t see coming. CD Projekt RED has announced a new collaboration with FiGGYZ, which are basically collectible magnets of pixel-art characters that snap magnetically onto display-ready backdrops. It’s a pretty cool idea, and there are some cute designs out there already. FiGGYZ has releases based on Sonic, The Witcher, Street Fighter, and loads more.
The newest range from FiGGYZ, if you hadn’t already guessed, is inspired by Cyberpunk 2077. The first wave is officially available to order now, featuring Johnny Silverhand, Judy, Panam, and V (male). It’s $14.99 per individual character, or you can spend $56.96 to get all four in a bundle.
I have to say, while I’m not really one for collectibles like this (apart from LEGO which takes up most of my free space and devastates me financially), these are seriously cute. I love the little pixel Johnny with his guitar and revolver. I should also note this is described as Wave One, so there are likely more Cyberpunk 2077 FiGGYZ on the way. We need female V, after all.
2026 Is Another Big Year For Cyberpunk 2077 Fans
Lots to get excited by
If magnetic pixel art doesn’t exactly get you excited, there’s loads of other Cyberpunk 2077 content coming this year. Cyberpunk 2077: Chrome is a brand-new horror comic book launching next week, for instance. We’re also getting Cyberpunk 2077: The Board Game and a Cyberpunk trading card game, both of which should take up most of our free time while we wait for the video game sequel.
If that’s not enough for you, I think it’s almost certain we’ll get at least one or two more small updates for Cyberpunk 2077 itself over the next 12 months. Although I should stress that’s pure speculation on my part, so please don’t take it as gospel.
