    Deerhoof Announce Tour and New Album, Share New Song Through Craigslist

    Now over 30 years into their illustrious profession, Deerhoof are again with their twentieth studio album. Noble and Godlike in Smash comes out on Joyful Noise on April 25. Along with saying a tour, the experimental rock band additionally shared a brand new music, “Immigrant Songs,” two days in the past by an unlikely host: Craigslist. The unconventional premiere, which lists the music beneath “Providers” posts promoting Deerhoof for rent in native communities on the web site, serves to highlight a tech platform that “isn’t blatantly supporting fascism.”

    “This music is sort of a sequel to Satomi describing her immigration tribulations in ‘Exit Solely,’” defined drummer Greg Saunier. “It’s what it feels wish to see the discourse round immigration get so twisted. Probably the most felony and barbaric ‘migrant horde’ to invade America was from Europe.     Noble and Godlike in Smash spans 10 songs, together with the current singles “Overrated Species Anyhow” and “Sparrow Sparrow” that Deerhoof launched on a limited-edition benefit 7″ to boost cash for the Trevor Project. The band self-produced its follow-up to 2023’s Miracle-Level and tapped Saul Williams to affix for “Underneath Rats.”

    This summer season, Deerhoof are heading out on tour in assist of the brand new LP. Their North American leg begins on Might 1, in Minneapolis, and lasts on by to the tip of June.
