    Unk, the Atlanta rapper greatest identified for his mid-2000s hit singles together with “Stroll It Out” and “2 Step,” has died on the age of 42.

    Information of Unk’s passing was shared by his household on social media Friday afternoon. A reason behind demise was not instantly identified.

    Born Anthony Leonard Platt and hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Unk obtained his begin spinning data as a part of a DJ crew referred to as the Southern Type DJs. He was finally signed to Large Oomp Data, the place he discovered success as a solo artist. His 2006 debut album, Beat’n Down Yo Block!, boasted the snap hit “Stroll It Out,” which peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard Sizzling 100 and No. 2 on the US rap charts. One other album observe, “2 Step,” touched No. 24 on the Billboard 200 and No. 4 on the US rap charts.

    Unk’s second album, 2008’s 2econd Season, featured the the highest 20 rap hit “Present Out” and collaborations with Three 6 Mafia, Venture Pat, and Ying Yang Twins, amongst others.

    His musical output slowed after a coronary heart assault in 2009, however he continued touring and releasing singles till 2015.
