Avengers: Doomsday will be one of the most game-changing installments for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as The Multiverse Saga is almost completed. Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom will forever change the MCU, as various heroes are being brought together to take on Victor von Doom.
In an interview with ScreenRant’s Ash Crossan for The Testament of Ann Lee, Lewis Pullman spoke about returning as Sentry in 2026’s Avengers: Doomsday, as he is one of several Thunderbolts* cast members taking part in the film. As the MCU film’s trailers are being shown in front of Avatar: Fire and Ash, Pull gave his reaction to the marketing strategy.
“Oh my god, I can’t wait to see it. I didn’t know that!” he shared before stating that “I haven’t seen it.” However, Pullman stressed that “I’m so excited. I think I’m as excited as anyone else is.”
The Sentry actor added how “it’s such an incredible team and a remarkable ensemble. There’s a lot that I am looking forward to seeing.” As he is excited to be back as part of the Avengers: Doomsday cast, he concluded by saying, “I love Sentry, and I love Bob so much, and so I’m just riveted to be able to get to step into his shoes again.”
With multiple Avengers: Doomsday trailers being screened over the next couple of weeks, this is one of the biggest marketing moves by Disney. For the longest time, the overall story has been kept heavily under wraps, as the Phase 6 entry wrapped filming in September.
From multiple X-Men actors coming back to the Fantastic Four finally crossing paths with the Avengers, the fifth team-up movie is also setting the stage for Avengers: Secret Wars, which will be the final installment in The Multiverse Saga. The Phase 6 finale is also confirmed to lead into a reset of the MCU timeline.
Avengers: Doomsday will open in theaters on December 18, 2026.
The Testament of Ann Lee opens on December 25.
