Final Fantasy 7 is getting a surprise release in January 2026 that you may want to look out for. As we anxiously await the third part of the FF7 Remake trilogy, fans have been clinging to any and all FF7 news that might suggest new content is coming soon.
This one’s a little bit different. First spotted by Hypebeast, FF7 is collaborating with American outerwear brand Avirex to create a line of FF7-inspired bomber jackets and accessories. The collection, which will feature a wide variety of pieces adorned with imagery from Final Fantasy 7, will be available beginning on January 1, 2026.
Final Fantasy 7 X Avirex Is One Slick Collab
What’s Available
Avirex’s official reveal video for its FF7 Remake crossover collection can be seen above. Headlining this release is a pair of quilted MA-1 jackets featuring imagery of the Midgar skyline.
Two leather flight jackets will also be available: one themed after Aerith, and one after Tifa. The collection is extensively detailed: the brown leather Aerith jacket features an image of the yellow lily she gives Cloud during the game’s opening on the front, and the black leather Tifa jacket the logo for Seventh Heaven.
A further MA-1 jacket, available in green and black, has an adorable cartoon image of a chocobo on its back panel. The collection will also include hoodies, T-shirts, sweatshirts, mesh caps, tote bags, a signet ring, and a dog tag, all of which feature images of your favorite FF7 characters and icons. You can browse the collection on Avirex‘s website.
The New Gear Launches January 1
How To Get It
You can purchase the full Avirex x FF7 Remake collection via Avirex‘s online store when it launches on January 1. It’ll also be available in “select retail locations,” per Hypebeast, but note that all of Avirex’s brick-and-mortar stores are located in Japan.
As these things so often go, the collection is likely to sell out quickly, so be ready to check Avirex’s webstore early if you want to pick up a particular piece.
I’ll be the first to admit, it’s not quite as exciting as FF7 Remake Part 3, but it is fun to see Square Enix branching out the Final Fantasy brand and doing interesting collabs like this one. It’s not the first time they’ve ever had a third-party brand put out a Final Fantasy 7-themed line of clothing, but it may be the coolest collection yet.
