Bridgerton‘s Regé-Jean Page and The Little Mermaid‘s Halle Bailey are starring together in a new romantic comedy called You, Me & Tuscany, and fans are now getting a first look at the film. The two movie and TV stars joined the cast back in March 2025, with Matlock executive producer and Marry Me director Kat Coiro on board as director.
Ahead of its theatrical release, People shared three photos from the film You, Me & Tuscany to give fans a taste of what to expect from the rom-com.
Bailey stars as Anna, a woman who comes across a deserted Tuscan villa and decides to settle down there during her Italian getaway. Page plays the owner of the villa, and their encounter forces them into unchartered adventures as well as love and deceit.

During an interview with People, Bailey and Page gave some insight into their characters in You, Me & Tuscany, which “captivated” the Little Mermaid star immediately because of how intriguing Anna’s storyline was, particularly her “vision and passion.”
Bailey: It captivated me right away. I was very intrigued by Anna’s storyline, by her character, by her vision and passion that she has and the wants and goals for herself…It’s a really feel-good movie.
Page was hooked right away by the premise of You, Me & Tuscany after it was described to him as being “Tuscany in the summer.“
Page: Will [Packer] and I had a real short conversation and then he just texted me ‘Tuscany in the summer’ with a question mark. End of message. I was like, ‘Yeah, I think we can do that.’ It’s getting to hang out in this aspirational world with Halle Bailey and just live through being in love in this removed environment where you get to go discover yourself away from your everyday life…And the moment you meet [Bailey], you want nothing but good things for her, so there is no better vessel for that journey.
The two actors met for the first time at the Met Gala, which is a “wild place to meet someone.”
They had already joined the cast of You, Me & Tuscany by that point, and when Bailey spotted Page in his bold red outfit, she went right up to him and introduced herself. She was already a fan of his from watching Bridgerton with her sister, Chloe Bailey.
Bailey and Page then hung out with each other at the Met Gala because they found it to be “pretty intimidating.”
Bailey: I had found out that I was going to do the movie with him and I was so excited because I’m a fan. He’s awesome. I’ve seen all his stuff and I’m like, ‘Oh my gosh, cool.’ I remember I saw him. You were wearing like all red. It’s very weird ’cause you’re nervous and you’re like, ‘Oh, if I go up to this person, are they gonna be nice?’ And then I’m like, we’re doing a movie together, I’m gonna just go up.
The chemistry between Bailey and Page was apparent right from the start, with Page noting that “it’s hard not to fall into Halle’s eyes,” and they felt safe in each other’s company.
Page: The chemistry starts straight away. You start feeling out how the other person is and it’s just knowing that you can feel safe in someone else’s company. You’re thrown in the deep end. I think our first scenes on this movie were in the kitchen. It was very much like, if you can’t take the heat, get outta the kitchen.
As far as the filming process went, Page added that Bailey is “Olympic athlete-level fast,” which he discovered when they shot a scene in which he had to chase after her. The actor thought it would be easy to film, but Bailey’s athletic abilities made it hard for him to keep up.
Bailey even told him that she could beat him in a race, to which Page responded, “You owe me a rematch.“
Page: There’s a scene where I’m meant to be chasing Halle down and it’s meant to be easy, and it is not easy. Halle is like Olympic-athlete-level fast.
Bailey is best known for her music career as part of the duo Chloe x Halle, as well as her roles in the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, The Color Purple movie musical and the Black-ish spinoff Grown-ish.
Page, meanwhile, caught everyone’s attention when he starred as Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings, in the first season of Netflix’s historical romance series Bridgerton. After his character’s arc ended, the actor moved on to other projects like The Gray Man, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves and Black Bag.
Now the Little Mermaid and Bridgerton stars are joining forces in the upcoming rom-com You, Me & Tuscany, which promises to be a “feel-good” movie.
You, Me & Tuscany will be released in movie theaters on Friday, April 10, 2026.
