Former Saturday Night Live forged member Fred Armisen pulled double responsibility through the first half of the SNL50 live performance at Radio Metropolis Music Corridor in New York Metropolis on Friday night time (February 14th). The funnyman performed drums for a pair of legendary new wave bands: The B-52s and DEVO.
First up, Armisen teamed up with the B-52s for a rousing rendition of “Love Shack,” becoming a member of the Roots in backing founding B-52s members Fred Schneider, Kate Pierson, and Cindy Wilson.
Halfway into the tune, present SNL forged members Sarah Sherman and Bowen Yang appeared onstage, partaking within the “bang, bang, bang” call-and-response portion of the tune.
