    Fred Durst Honors Late Limp Bizkit Bandmate Sam Rivers

    Following the unhappy information that Limp Bizkit bassist Sam Rivers has passed away at age 48, frontman Fred Durst has posted a video message on his Instagram account honoring his late bandmate.

    Durst started the video by speaking in regards to the important position Rivers performed within the formation of Limp Bizkit, discussing how he noticed a then teenage Rivers taking part in with one other band, and informed him about his imaginative and prescient for Limp Bizkit.

    “Sam Rivers, the legend,” started Durst. “Such a gifted and great individual. … There Sam was on the stage along with his band, killing it on the bass. and I went, ‘Oh my gosh, this man’s superb.’ In my thoughts, you needed to begin with the rhythm part, the bass and the drums. … I noticed Sam play, and I used to be blown away.”

    He continued, “I went as much as Sam after the present, and I unhappy, ‘Hey man, you’re unbelievable, and I received this concept for a band I wanna do, and I kinda threw it on the market, and I informed him what I needed it to be, and he checked out me, and says, ‘Killer, I’m in. Let’s do it!’… That’s kinda how issues began to come back collectively.”

    Turning to the current day, Durst talked about Limp Bizkit’s latest resurgence over the previous few years, saying, “It’s so tragic that he’s not right here proper now, and I’ve gone via gallons and gallons of tears since yesterday, and I’m pondering, ‘Sam’s a legend.’”

    He added, “Right here we’re simply having an unimaginable second, and it’s going so fantastically easy, and Sam was simply actually, actually comfortable about it. … What he’s left us behind is priceless.”
