Freddie Gibbs and the Alchemist have introduced that their new album Alfredo 2 is out on July 25. Featured on the sequel to 2020’s Alfredo are Anderson .Paak, Larry June, and JID. Hearken to the album’s opening monitor, “1995,” beneath.
To go together with the brand new album, Gibbs and the Alchemist have shared a brief movie directed by Nick Walker and filmed in Japan. In it, the Alchemist convinces a reluctant and reclusive Gibbs to return to Tokyo from the mountains. Again within the Japanese capital, the rapper is tasked with troublesome selections. Gibbs and the Alchemist have been nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2021 Grammy Awards for Alfredo. The rapper and producer shared their first collaborative effort, Fetti, again in 2018.
