    FWICE Urges Border 2 Makers to Reconsider Diljit Dosanjh’s Casting

    The letter, which is addressed to Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, Nidhi Dutta and Anurag Singh, reads, “The Federation of Western India Cine Workers (FWICE), representing the core workforce of the Indian movie and tv trade, is deeply disenchanted and anxious by the casting of actor-singer Mr. Diljit Dosanjh in your upcoming movie Border 2 produced underneath the banner of JP Movies in collaboration with T-Sequence and directed by Mr. Anurag Singh.”

    It continued, “By selecting to collaborate with an artist who has so overtly ignored the continued tensions and nationwide sentiment, your manufacturing has instantly undermined the stand taken by the Indian movie trade in solidarity with the nation. FWICE has again and again made its place clear–we is not going to settle for or tolerate any cooperation or collaboration with Pakistani artists in any type or on any platform. Such actions are a disservice to the sacrifices made by our armed forces and residents who proceed to face the implications of cross-border hostilities and terrorism.”

    FWICE urged the makers of Border 2 to right away rethink their casting choice and stand by the nation and trade’s collective stand. Earlier this week, FWICE issued a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding strict motion towards Diljit Dosanjh and urged the federal government to revoke the singer-actor’s passport.

    In the meantime, Sardaar Ji 3 is about to launch solely abroad on June 27. It is not going to be launched in India.
