Gracie Abrams, Aaron Dessner, and Bon Iver have teamed up for “Sold Out,” a new song released in support of the gun violence prevention organization Everytown.

The trio originally wrote “Sold Out” in 2024 as a reaction to a school shooting, but opted to release the song today (likely in response to the recent shooting at Brown University). They’ve released the song exclusively on Bandcamp, where you can purchase the track for $5; all proceeds will benefit Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund, a 501(c)(4) organization dedicated to building a future free from gun violence. Read more about Everytown’s mission here, and purchase “Sold Out” here.

“We made this song last year in the wake of a school shooting,” said Abrams, Dessner, and Bon Iver in a press statement. “We were reminded of it this week as our hearts were broken yet again. It’s a sad one to share during the holidays, but the world is hurting and we shouldn’t look away. We are proud to support Everytown, an organization dedicated to ending gun violence in America. We are releasing this song to raise awareness of their mission of reducing gun violence. Please visit their website for more information on the unbelievable work they do. Sending so much love to you all.”

“Sold Out” serves as the first collaboration between Abrams and Bon Iver; Dessner has worked extensively with both artists, having produced the entirety of Abrams’ last album The Secret of Us and collaborated numerous times with Bon Iver’s Justin Vernon over the last two decades. We recently named Bon Iver’s new album SABLE, fABLE one of the Best of 2025.
