K-Pop girl group NewJeans has returned to their previous company ADOR after a long legal battle. The group’s youngest members, Haerin and Hyein, recently announced their decision to return to their label. For those aware, the court recently ruled verifying the validity of their exclusive contracts.

After the news about the youngest members returning spread on social media like wildfire, the other members of NewJeans, including Minji, Danielle and Hanni also confirmed their return. Their legal teams shared that they are willing to make a comeback after discussing amongst themselves. Now, former CEO Min Hee Jin has also responded and opened up about the members’ sudden decision to return to ADOR.

A report by a leading South Korean portal Sports Kyunghyang shared Hee Jin’s take on the matter. She said, “Yesterday’s decision to return [to ADOR] was undoubtedly a difficult choice made by the members after much thought and consideration. I respect and will support that decision. Although there were difficulties, I cherish the courage of the members who have decided to hold hands together again to protect each other. I can start afresh anywhere. However, I think NewJeans should remain together as a group of five members, no matter the situation. I hope that the members will become stronger, that NewJeans will grow into an even better group, and most of all, that all five members are happy.”

While the members have returned as a group, the agency hasn’t shared further plans yet. The members have also not revealed about the discussions they have had with the agency about their future activities. Fans have been sharing enthusiastic social media posts, congratulating NewJeans on the return. It would be interesting to note how the group functions and whether the members also decide to debut solo under the same agency.
