Jack White has taken to Instagram to call out Tennessee Representative Tim Burchett for reposting AI-generated, ragebait slop of White yelling at Trump supporters.
The spat seems to have started when the Twitter account MAGA Response, a page seemingly dedicated to farming engagement via Trump-related AI videos, shared an AI-generated clip of White furiously saying, “Don’t even think about listening to my music, you fascists.” Notably, the clip sounds very little like White’s actual voice.
Representative Burchett then retweeted the video, adding, “That cute little girl from the Addams Family got really ugly and angry.”
In response, White shared a lengthy, fiery statement calling out the absurdity of the situation.
“Can you believe that a US congressman, that’s right, a CONGRESSMAN (from my state, no less), a once hallowed and respected position in our society, would repost an AI-generated video containing a false comment that I never said and refuted (without researching that I might add) and like a 10 year old on a playground, add to it attempted insults to my physical appearance?,” White wrote. “What kind of joke are we all living in now?”

“Trump really lowered the bar when he brought his scourge to this government,” he continued. “It’s really sad how embarrassing our leadership has become. I so wish the average American conservative could have a conversation with any intelligent people in other countries around the world, just for one brief moment, and actually see just what a joke our government (and by proxy our country) has become.”

White has made no secret of his political leanings in recent years. Just recently, the guitarist and songwriter slammed Trump for his comments on Rob Reiner’s death, hosted Kamala Harris at Third Man Records, and has made plenty of statements both online and onstage.
Outside of politics, White has kept busy as 2025 comes to a close. The White Stripes were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in November, and he delivered a tasty halftime performance during the Detroit Lions game on Thanksgiving day.
