    KeiyaA is again together with her first new music in years. “Stupid Prizes” follows 2022’s “Camille’s Daughter,” and it comes with a black-and-white music video co-directed by KeiyaA and Caity Arthur. Watch it beneath.

    “I wrote, recorded, and produced ‘Silly Prizes’ multi functional sitting, at house late at night time in my front room in Brooklyn,” KeiyaA stated in a press release. “I sampled Percy Religion, an orchestral composer recognized for creating wealthy and luscious scores and present tunes, serving to contribute to this basic ‘American’ sound. I sought out to create this form of mattress of irony, to talk and sing about being depressing on prime of this lovely, dreamy, and romantic music. Which speaks not solely to what it might really feel like navigating my inner and exterior worlds, but additionally what it appears like being a marginalized individual in America.”

    KeiyaA—a Chicago-born singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer who’s now based mostly in New York—launched her debut album, Forever, Ya Girl, to nice acclaim in 2020.
