Completely recorded, written, and produced by Mooney, The Actual Me options 11 songs and clocks in at underneath 20 minutes. In a press launch, the album is described as “a singular creative imaginative and prescient unbound by style,” spanning throughout rock, nation, dance, and R&B.
Within the tongue-in-cheek mini-documentary accompanying the album, Mooney visits his purported childhood house and reminisces about his longtime love for music — all whereas insisting “there’s nothing comedic concerning the Kyle M undertaking.”

Naturally, The Actual Me gives loads of laughs with amateurish tracks like “Child of the Vary,” the place Mooney sings, “I’m only a lonely cowboy/ Who’ll by no means be a cow… man.” Equally, his try at R&B, “ILY,” options lyrics like, “I attempting to say I like you/ However I’m afraid to do it/ I wanna say I like you/ Oh heck, simply screw it.”
